Built around a succession of recognizable and at times uncomfortably familiar situations, (AN)ORGANIC explores the many forms that encounters between human and artificial intelligence can take. From work, identity, and the pressure to perform to emotions, attention, and dependency, the performance examines how technology is making its way into increasingly personal areas of our lives.

At times a tool, at others a conversational partner, adviser, confidant, or source of validation, artificial intelligence is becoming a constant presence. Meanwhile, attention is put up for auction, turning into the most fiercely contested currency.

On stage, these encounters take on a variety of forms, ranging from dialogue and absurd situations to physical play and performative mechanisms. Through humor, irony, and a touch of the absurd, the boundary between the organic and the inorganic is continuously tested, negotiated, and redrawn. Artificial intelligence emerges as an extension that permeates the ways we think, work, communicate, and relate to one another. And with it, what we continue to call “human” is itself being (re)negotiated.
